Event Rental Policies
We love hosting all kinds of events at Family Social Club!
In order to keep our space in great condition and care for your guests and our team, we have developed these policies and procedures that apply to all events. Please read before booking, and let us know if you have any questions.
Booking Confirmation and Cancellation Policy
All Event Rental payments are nonrefundable. Event Rentals with full payment can be rescheduled one time due to illness with at least 48 hours notice of the original party date. Any additional reschedules will come with a $75 fee due before changing your date.
A Deposit of $300 is required to secure all bookings. The date and time of an event is secured upon nonrefundable Event Rental deposit payment.
Full payment for the event and any add-ons is required 7 days before the event. If full payment is not received by 7 days before the event, a 10% late fee will be added. Any event booked within 10 days of the Event date must be paid in full at the time of booking. If full payment is not received within 48 hours of the event, Family Social Club has the right to cancel the event. An invoice being sent from FSC does not save your date and time. The best way to guarantee your Event Rental is by booking through our Event Rental booking system on our website.
Our Locations
There are two Family Social Club locations.
Our Gluckstadt, Mississippi Location is located at 110 Lexington Drive, Suite C, Madison, MS 39110. It has capacity for 35 guests at events.
Our Jackson, Mississippi Location is located within the Highland Village Shopping Center at 4500 I55 N Frontage Road, Jackson, MS 39211. It has capacity for 50 guests at events.
When you book on our website, you are booking for a specific location. Please make sure you read the location details and book the correct location. We cannot guarantee a location switch after booking.
Standard Processes
Birthday parties are staffed with 1-2 FSC Play Hosts throughout your Event Rental. Our Play Hosts are there to welcome guests, to help guests with FSC procedures (shoe removal and storage, etc.), and to cleanup at the end of each party.
All event rentals come with 30 minutes of setup time before the event and 15 minutes of time after the event. Standard weekend event rentals include 2 hours of party time. Weekday afternoon event rentals are 1.5 hours. Additional setup and event time can be booked for $150/hour. Guests are responsible for removing everything they brought into the space within their allotted time.
Unless otherwise arranged, party hosts will be charged $40 per five minutes you are in the space after your fifteen minute clean up time. We often have events back-to-back, and we cannot accommodate additional time unless prearranged.
Example: If your party runs from 10am-12pm, you are welcome into the space at 9:30am for setup. Your guests can arrive starting at 10am, and cleanup/removal of everything you brought in needs to be finished at 12:15pm.
Party Setup
Event Rentals include the entire playspace. There will not be Open Play, Classes, or other Events going on during your party.
At Highland Village, you will have two 6ft tables for food and drink setup in the Party Room. Because the Play Room is carpeted, food and drink must be served only in the Party Room, and we ask that food and drink is consumed at the tables in the Play Room. At Gluckstadt, you will have one 6 ft table and our 6ft entry buffet for food and drink service. Food and drink can be served and consumed throughout the space at our Gluckstadt location.
Add-Ons and Decor
We offer banners and balloon decor as well as allowing decor from outside vendors.
We have existing hooks for balloon arches and banners in the Playroom and the Party Room at both locations. Adding hooks or anything other than blue painter’s tape to walls is not allowed. If you are hiring an event vendor to provide decor, you are responsible for communicating our rules to them. Please share this page with them. The addition of any additional hooks, nails, and tape other than painters tape to our walls will result in a $45 removal fee per item.
Space Rules
FSC is a shoe-free zone beyond our welcome area. All guests will remove their shoes and put them in our shoe storage areas. This is for the safety and health of all guests in the space and includes all adults and children. Orthotic shoes and wheelchairs are the only exception and should be checked and wiped down upon entry. Unfortunately, orthotics and wheelchairs are not allowed on the Bounce House.
Because our space often welcomes families with life-threatening nut allergies, our entire space is nut-free. Please take this into account when planning food and drinks. If you break this rule, we reserve the right and will remove any food or beverage that contain nuts.
Food and Drink
We do have a small catering menu in our add-ons, and outside food and drink is welcome.
Please limit food, including cake, to being eaten while sitting at tables in and around the classroom space. The serving of food and drink is allowed only in our Classroom space at Highland Village. Cake Smashes will happen in our Classroom space as well. Other than birthday candles on a cake, we do not allow open flames including food warming devices.
We ask that guests be conscientious of our space. If a spill occurs, please let a Play Host know immediately so they can help with clean up.
